Who we are

This website is run by Tan Bros Aircon Servicing Pte Ltd, 81 Tampines Street 81, Singapore 520081. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Tan Bros Aircon Servicing Pte Ltd.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.

What we collect

When you send us a message using the form on our Contact page, we collect:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number (if you give it)
  • the service you are asking about
  • the date you need us
  • your message

To stop spam, the website briefly records a scrambled form of your internet connection address (IP address) for one hour. We cannot use it to identify you.

If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email instead, we receive whatever you choose to send us through that service.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to provide the service you ask for. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

How long we keep it

Messages sent through the website are emailed to us and also kept in the website for up to 90 days as a backup, after which they are deleted automatically. Copies in our email inbox are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or order, and to meet any legal or tax record-keeping duties.

Who we share it with

We only share your data with services we need to run this website and reply to you:

  • our website hosting company, which stores the website and its data
  • our email provider, which delivers form messages to us
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there

Some of these services may store data outside your country. We use well-known providers that protect data to a comparable standard.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets a small number of essential cookies only for people who log in to manage the website. Buttons that open Google Maps, WhatsApp or social media take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), you can:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • withdraw your consent, after which we will stop using your data (this may mean we cannot provide our service)

If you are not happy with how we handle your request, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC).

Keeping your data safe

The website uses a secure connection (https). Only we can see enquiries stored in the website, and access is protected by a password.
